On The All Roads Lead To Rome Again

I would like to say after an uneventful flight, but then you know I can't! Jim did manage to charm the german luggage guard to tag his carry on as making weight even though my new sweatshirt had caused it to go over the required weight. Once on board we were late taking off because the plane got stuck on the gate connector. While the pilot insisted that we would land on time ( what can you fly faster than normal? And if you do do you get a ticket?) we were late arriving in Frankfurt This time Jim went through with flying colors, while I got to know the security woman up close and personal. Now that we have gotten all that out of the way... We have arrived! The weather is very warm but not the "unseasonably hot" we have experienced the last two trips-basically a two shower a day year! We did some walking and exploring. Then we had drinks at Harry's Bar Rome. I had my first spritz of the trip and Jim had a Negroni, basically a Roman martini: red vermouth, gin and Campari. Drinks and potato chips and peanuts..let's just call it lunch. Armed with our dictionary we are off to the neighborhood travel agent to procure our train transportation for the trip.
